Friends of Mens Sana Annual Fundraising Dinner
Highlighting historic figures who suffered with their Mental Health.
Friends of Mens Sana is a charity and home for men who suffer from a number of mental health problems and have a difficult time living independently. They throw an annual fundraising dinner to help boost their funds, expand service, and help those they already work with.
The charity involved wanted to use the mental health struggles of famous figures to try to demystify the stigma that their own people suffer from, in an effort to normalize and humanize the conditions.
I lead a team of three in researching the figures, designing layouts, and securing permission and approval from event sponsors. This included corporations, unions, individuals, and the charity itself. Conflicts had to be dealt with in a way that satisfied the stakeholders involved, but also in a way that didn’t compromise the design.
